Beliefs and Vision

At Pathway Church we are a place where anyone can come and be part of our family. Pathway is made up of people from all stages and walks of life.

We’re Biblically-based and family-focused. That’s why we provide classes on marriage, parenting, and other family topics. It’s why we focus on excellence in our children and student ministries. It’s why we constantly encourage connecting in small groups with others who are going through the same things as you.

What We Believe

 What We Believe

We believe the Bible is the word of God. It is divinely inspired and the supreme and final authority for faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16, 17)

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (II Corinthians 13:14)

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. (Luke 2:26-32; Colossians 1:15-18; Hebrews 2:14-18)

We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. (Colossians 1:14; Romans 3:23-26)

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and His present life for us as high priest and advocate. (I Corinthians 15:4; Acts 1:9-11; I John 2:1,2)

We believe in “the second coming”; the personal return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Matthew 24:29-31)

We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God, a relationship in which they are secure. (Acts 16:31; Romans 8:38,39; Hebrews 3:5)

We believe that after a person is saved by faith in Jesus Christ he should publicly confess Christ and be baptized. We practice baptism by immersion only. (Eph. 2:8,9; Romans 6:3,4; Matthew 10:32,33)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust: The everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost. (I Thessalonians 4:16, 17; Revelation 20:11-15)

Mission and Core Values of Pathway Church

Mission and Core Values

The mission of Pathway is to be a church that is connecting people to Jesus and helping them become fully devoted followers.

There is a lot of talk about values.  Values are significant because behind every action there is an underlying value.  Values are what motivate us, define us, and inspire us to do what we do.  Organizations are also driven by values.  These are the values that Pathway Church holds dear:

Following Jesus, In Community, For Others

These Core Values define not only the church we desire to become, but also they are what motivate and inspire us to do what we do. Together they represent a process or pathway that can lead to a life fully devoted to following Jesus. This is our greatest desire for you and for everyone that attends Pathway!

Following Jesus...

Being consumed daily in the pursuit of making Jesus the leader and savior of your life.

In Community...

Recognizing that the Christian life must always be lived out in the context of a Chrisitan Community.

For Others...

Together with others we reach out and serve in the context of the church, the world, and other cultures SO THAT the lives of others are continuously affected by Jesus.
