Mission, Beliefs, and Core Values
Pathway Church is non-denominational Christian church. Our roots trace back to a movement to establish, sustain, and grow simple New Testament Christianity. The description of “What We Believe” and “Mission and Core Values” included below depict the essentials of the Christian faith and our commitment to Jesus Christ, His mission, and His Church.

What We Believe
We believe the Bible is the word of God. It is divinely inspired and the supreme and final authority for faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16, 17)
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (II Corinthians 13:14)
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. (Luke 2:26-32; Colossians 1:15-18; Hebrews 2:14-18)
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. (Colossians 1:14; Romans 3:23-26)
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and His present life for us as high priest and advocate. (I Corinthians 15:4; Acts 1:9-11; I John 2:1,2)
We believe in “the second coming”; the personal return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Matthew 24:29-31)
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God, a relationship in which they are secure. (Acts 16:31; Romans 8:38,39; Hebrews 3:5)
We believe that after a person is saved by faith in Jesus Christ he should publicly confess Christ and be baptized. We practice baptism by immersion only. (Eph. 2:8,9; Romans 6:3,4; Matthew 10:32,33)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust: The everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost. (I Thessalonians 4:16, 17; Revelation 20:11-15)

Mission and Core Values
The mission of Pathway is to be a church that is connecting people to Jesus and helping them become fully devoted followers.
Our core values of following Jesus in community for others define not only the church we desire to become, but also they are what motivate and inspire us to do what we do. Together they represent a process or pathway that can lead to a life fully devoted to following Jesus. This is our greatest desire for you and for everyone that attends Pathway!
Following Jesus means that you must first accept Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord of your life and completely surrender your life over to God through Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Then, it’s a daily pursuit and desire to be obedient to Jesus’ commands to love God and others and follow the leading on the Holy Spirit.
Following Jesus In Community is a commitment to do life together with a small group of other Jesus followers. God never intended the Christian life to be lived alone. Instead, He graciously provides the community of other believers to bring help, encouragement, correction, accountability and joy to your live. Following Jesus in community is a commitment to both God and other believers.
Following Jesus In Community For Others means together, with other Jesus followers, you reach out to both show and tell the Good News of Jesus Christ to others regardless of who they are, where they live or what they have done. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, He continually seeks to give Himself away to others through your life.
