Interested in helping out in the Middle School Ministry?

We are so excited that you are considering partnering with us in the Middle School Ministry as a volunteer. We believe that everyone in our body is gifted to serve as the church, which means you have unique gifts and abilities that can contribute to the body of believers

 We appreciate and are humbled by the sacrifice of your time and talent in glorifying God with your service to our students.  Listed below are the different areas in which you may desire to serve:

First Encounter (Greeter):  Each Sunday and Wednesday, students come to IGNITE to hang out with their friends and grow in their relationship with Christ.  We need adults who can welcome students as they walk in the door and help them feel welcome right from the start!

Wednesday IGNITE Leader:  During IGNITE, our adult leaders engage with students during our 20-30 minute hangout time.  This provides a good opportunity for building relationships and helping students feel welcome.  Then our leaders participate in worship and sit amongst the students during the message.  IGNITE is an hour and fifteen minutes long and there are two services, one for the 6^th grade from 6:00-7:15 and one for the 7/8^th grade from 7:15-8:30.  You can choose to volunteer at one or both of these awesome services! 

Small Group Leader:  We have small groups that meet Saturday from 5-6:10 pm and Sunday from 9:10-10:20 am in our IGNITE center.  Each week you have the opportunity to care for and personally get to know your group of students.  You can help them grow in their relationship with Christ and teach them to make wise choices every day.

Behind The Scenes:   If you aren’t ready to work with students just yet, there are plenty of other opportunities to serve behind the scenes.  We can always use adults to help setup for events, miscellaneous office work, etc.  Once we find out what your interests are, we can get you connected.

As we strive to build a mature body and reach lost students for Christ, we recognize that unity and alignment with the body are critical. In order to maintain unity, there are a few things that we ask all volunteers to do.

1. Contact Middle School Pastor Ben Ford letting him know you are interested in serving.
2. Fill out a Leader Application and Background Check
3. Shadow the ministry area you are interested in serving in.
4. Meet with Ben to discuss leader responsibilities and ask any questions you may have.
5. Welcome to our Team!
