Children's Beginnings Class or Self-Study

The Elementary Ministry desires to see each and every child experience the life changing message of Jesus Christ. So we want to help children begin their faith journey with Christ and to help them take “next steps” along the way. One step for them to take is to decide to put faith in Christ by accepting him as their Lord and Savior. We also want them to be able to express that faith through baptism. We have a couple of great tools that will help your child take either of those steps.

• The Beginnings Class for Kids - This 6-week class is for kids who have shown an interest in being baptized and want to learn more about being a follower of Jesus.  This class is designed to help children understand what it means to be a Christian, how to find answers about being a Christian and how to tell others about being a Christian.  It is held in the Spring (sign up the first part of January) and in the Fall (sign up the first part of September).  Since attendance is limited, we ask that you sign up to attend. 
  
  Look for the next Elementary Beginnings Class in October, 2013. 

• The Self-Study Workbook -  We have a book for children who have expressed an interest in being baptized.  This book is called “I’m a Christian Now!”  This book is designed to be done with a parent for younger elementary children or as a self-study for 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th graders.   It is available for free in the Pathway Church bookstore located in the East Atrium. 

• Ready for Baptism?  Once your child has completed the Children's Beginnings Class or the Self-Study and is ready for baptism, please schedule a baptism meeting with Pastor Bryan or Mrs. Michelle by calling Rita at 722-8020 or rita.anschutz@pathwaychurchonline.com.

Baptism

We believe that baptism is an important step of obedience for children who have accepted Christ as their personal Savior. When your child is ready to be baptized, we want to invite you to attend either the “Baptism in the Ballpark” or the Worship Center baptism as a family! In either of these special services we celebrate through baptism the decisions children have made to put their trust in Jesus as their personal Savior.

1. Worship Center Baptism:  Contact Leta Brown at 722-8020 to sign them up to be baptized in the worship center during one of our weekend services.
2. Baptism in the Ballpark:  Contact Rita Anschutz at 722-8020 to sign them up to participate in our Baptisms in the Ballpark service on a Sunday afternoon in the Spring, Summer or Fall.  For a snapshot of our Baptism in the Ballpark, please click to play the video above.
