Early Childhood Events

Early Childhood will have special events throughout the year.  Check here often for updates!

A Night Out Without the Kids!

For Children Birth through Fifth Grade (including children with special needs)

The third Friday of each month, excluding January and June.  

6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  

Cost $10 per child with a 30% discount after two children.  If you have more than four children, you will be given an additional discount code for the fifth child. 

Children will be in classrooms according to their ages.  Activities are planned which include a Bible story and craft.  Children are to eat supper before they come and will receive a snack during the evening. All movies watched during PNO are G-rated. 

Paid staff that are trained in CPR and First Aid will be watching the children.  We also encourage parent volunteers.  If a parent volunteers, they receive a $20.00 credit toward a future PNO.
 
Registration will close the Sunday before the event so be sure to register early. Please help us by filling out every field in the registration module.

Summer Play Day 2013

Every Tuesday and Thursday

June 18 – July 30, 2013 (closed July 4th)
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

For children birth thru entering 5th grade.

Cost: $14.00 per day, per child

Make plans for your children to attend Summer Play Day this summer.  They will enjoy being with their friends and making new friends as they play, sing, create and explore.   Each day’s activities will include a time for art, music, outside play, a Bible story and a special guest.  There is a science class for the elementary children as well as a soccer clinic once a week.

Our pricing is different this year.  The cost is $14.00 per child, per day.  There is no extra charge for infants and toddlers and there is no longer a sibling discount.  Fees are non refundable so please be sure of your dates before you register.  If your child is sick on a day that they are signed up to come, they may make that day up by coming another day if space is available.

Parent and Child Dedication       

Our Parent and Child Dedication service is a public commitment before God,  church, and  family.  It provides you, the parent, an opportunity to express your desire to lead and spiritually nurture your child, to develop in them the desire to love God and love others.

Deuteronomy 6:4-7 reminds us that parents are the spiritual leaders of their children.  In addition, our role as a church family is to come alongside and assist and support them in this journey.  We want to improve our ability to help young parents in this process.

This is not a baptism

One month before each of the dedication weekends, there will be an orientation class for parents wanting to participate. Parents will learn about the dedication service, how to make it meaningful for their family and also will receive some important parenting information about helping their children develop spiritually.  If parents are unable to attend this pre-dedication seminar, their participation in the dedication service will be postponed until they can attend the class.

Vacation Bible School 2013 - Turn it Up!

Vacation Bible School is always a fun filled week of singing, dancing, drama, Bible learning and of course, snacks.  But this year we are going to Turn it Up!

  • June 10-14, 2013
  • Monday - Friday: 9:15am - Noon
  • For children 4 years old (by September 1, 2013) and those entering Kindergarten
  • Cost: $ 10.00 per child

CUBBIES

Register now for the 2013/2014 Awana year!
 

An Awana program for children ages three-years-old through five-year-old, not in Kindergarten.

Wednesday Nights - September 4, 2013 thru April, 2014

6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Cubbies is designed to help children begin to build a foundation in the Christian faith through Bible teachings and memorization.  Children will receive badges and rewards for attendance and learning memory verses.  There will be an award night in April, where the children will be recognized for their participation.

The children will be assigned classrooms according to their ages.  Parents will be given this information on the first night their child attends.

Cubbies must be 3 years old by September 1st.

 

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:

Wednesday, August 21, 2013 - Awana Registration Night
Wednesday, September 4, 2013 - First Night of Awana
Wednesday, September 11, 2013 - Second Night of Awana (for those who register on 9/4/13)

Registration Fees:

  • Registration costs for the 2013/2014 Awana year are $25/child or $60/3 or more siblings.
    (See "Activity Fees" for a list of prices for Books, Vests and bags.)
  • The parent letter sent home with your child on Wednesday, March 27th, which gives the dates of Awana Registration Night and the Dates of the 1st and 2nd nights of Awana can be found by clicking here.

Ways to register your child:

  • You can register online by clicking the "Register" button above.
  • Or you may come on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 during Awana Registration Night.
  • Additional cost for Vests, Books, and optional T&T Bag can be purchased on Wednesday, August 21st (Registration Night).  See "Activity Fees" (top right) for prices.  These prices may change as Awana Catalog and shipping costs are updated.

Awana Dates and Drop-off and Pick-up Times:

DATES:  September 4, 2013 through April, 2013

CUBBIES:  Clubbers will check in at 6:15 pm in their assigned classroom in the Preschool Area.  They will be ready to be picked up at 8:00 pm from the same classroom.  Please make sure to use the sign-in/sign-out sheets located in each room.

SPARKS:
Kindergarten Clubbers will check in at 6:15 pm in the Farm.  They will be ready to be picked up at 8:10 pm in their assigned classrooms on Main Street.
1st and 2nd Grader Clubbers will check in at 6:15 pm in the Farm.  They will be ready to be picked up at 8:10 pm in the Ballpark.

T&T:
3rd through 5th Grade Girls will check in at 6:15 pm in the Ballpark. They will be ready to be picked up at 8:10 pm in their assigned basement classrooms.
3rd through 5th Grade Boys will check in at 6:15 pm in the Ballpark. They will be ready to be picked up at 8:10 pm in the Gym.
